With road fatalities rushing past the 315 mark on Monday, Director of the Road Safety Unit (RSU) Kenute Hare is reiterating his call for road users to exercise caution on the nation's roads.

The RSU director said men, in particular, need to take heed as they account for the majority of fatalities on the island's road network.

Hare also appealed to persons to cut their speed as they make their way across the island during this holiday period.

He said 85 of the persons who have lost their lives on the roads this year, died as a result of speeding.

Up to Monday, some 316 persons had died in traffic crashes this year.
